Enerco Energy Ltd have proposed to build a wind farm development in Derrynea and Lettermuckoo, North of Casla in Connemara consisting of thirteen huge windmills 135 meters high, buildings, roads and a wind measurement mast. Be assured the 13 proposed windmills are the tip of the iceberg. Casla is near Rossaveal in county Galway where the ferries leave for the Aran Islands. This is a bonny part of the world is almost totaly unspoilt at the moment. We are not against sustainable energy and understand how Ireland has to meet renewable resource deadlines but the West coast of Ireland is a resource that should not be spoiled by greedy developers and short sighted individuals out to make a quick buck.
