We are University of Toronto medical students who are concerned about conflict of interest in the medical curriculum. We think more must be done to ensure that we receive excellent, unbiased education. It is extremely challenging for students to understand how conflicts of interest affect lecture content with only the conflict of interest declaration slide. We question whether the current policy can effectively manage bias and are asking for renewed attention to this issue
