They turned our Nation’s capital, Washington, DC, into a foul cesspool. Crime is rampant, the neighborhoods are dangerous for families, businesses, and not even government workers and members of Congress are safe.

This must end. President Donald Trump has appointed Ed Martin as United States Attorney for the District of Columbia to turn this terrible situation around.

“Since Inauguration Day, Ed has been doing a great job as Interim U.S. Attorney, fighting tirelessly to restore Law and Order, and make our Nation’s Capital Safe and Beautiful Again,” President Trump wrote in a February post on his Truth Social platform. “He will get the job done.”

As interim U.S. Attorney, Ed Martin is pursuing the violent criminals who are terrorizing the district - particularly poor black residents trapped in crime-ridden neighborhoods. He will remain resolute in this endeavor and not cower in the face of a disgusting, coordinated left-wing intimidation campaign of lies.

On Inauguration Day, President Trump signed an Executive Order “Ending the Weaponization of the Federal Government.” Attorney General Pam Bondi then appointed Ed Martin to her Weaponization Working Group, and he has quickly moved to fulfill this mission. We know he will continue.

The United States Senate must confirm Ed Martin’s nomination as U.S. Attorney as quickly as possible so he can help President Trump make Washington safe again.

We, the undersigned, are watching each Senator’s vote closely. Our message to them: Do not fail us. Do not fail the President. Do not fail our Capital City. Do not fail our great Nation.
