The Dixie Flag, Rebel Flag, and Confederate Flag was used in the civil war by the south against the north. The south used this flag to symbolize independence against the north. Most think the south were the only ones who had slave but the north did to; and to make things clear not all slaves were black. Many perceive the flag to be a sign of racism and slavery. The flag's stars represented the number of states in the confederacy. The distance between the starsdecreased as the number of states increased, reaching thirteen when the secessionist factions of Kentucky and Missouri joined in late 1861. There was an issue in our school where one person misunderstood what another student said and then this whole situation was blown out of proportion and it was leading to another student in the same class starting a protest to ban the confederate flag at our school.

The school board is finally feeling the heat because of the pressure we are putting on them. This momentum proves that our administration can no longer ignore the hostility they allow in our hallways.

I don't think that trying to support our country promotes any racism at all. And we should be able to wear whatever we want, and whenever!
Honestly I think we should be able to wear, fly and anything we want to do with the flag. I'm sick of people just jumping to the conclusion of its "racist"
People are too sensitive. There are many reasons behind the flag if you do the research. The comfederate flag is part of our culture. What ever happened to freedom in America?!
People can't take away are past and they cant take away our rights as Americans to express ourselves freely
I believe we should have a right to express what ever we want in any place we want. No matter what school or public area a person may be in.
I think that ballston spa is full of butt hurt pussies. We should be able to wear whatever we want. If kids can wear pot leafs an naked girls without being sent home or trying to ban them, why is it we can't wear a flag? Smh ballston sucks
Stop taking away our freedom of speech and our freedom of expression! If we want to wear the confederate flag and support it, than you better damn well let us.

If kids can walk around with pot leaves and naked girls on their shirts, why cant i walk around with a symbol of our country on my shirt?
