I will never watch anything with him in again. How he can take a serious life threatening allergy and try and turn it to something funny makes me sick. I pray everyday she goes to school or anywhere to be honest with you that she will come back home just they way I sent her... ALIVE!!!! It might be only one child that is allergic but that one child is just as important as all the other children in the school or on the plane or where ever else she goes. My daughter can die just by coming into contact with a peanut so please don't find humor in his lack of compassion.

This makes me very upset that my food allergies were joked about! Trust me I did not choose to have these allergies! It's hard enough for myself but then on top of it being bullied because of it!

How could you be so ignorant? People die from nut allergies. Or you are just interested in applauses. Shame on you! Shame on you!

There is nothing funny about worrying about every bite of a food you eat maybe being your last. I am a mother who lost her her precious boy Giovanni Cipriano 4 years ago because of a food allergy. George Lopez do you have guts enough to stand in front of me and make those same jokes? Stand in front of me while I show you pictures of my son, the only thing olive have left? Come on try me? Or maybe you would like to sit and have a one to one with me and possibly learn about the reality of what food allergies really mean?

My son is 2 and could die from peanuts and the disrespect you displayed is horrific. Obviously you don't like the latinos singled out so how do you think this is right, yet even humane ! Shame on you as a human being !

I'm an RN and a mom of a child with severe food allergies. I have a great sense of humor and love to laugh at life & myself. But this was down right dangerous- we work so hard to get the public to understand the seriousness of food allergies... in schools on planes, in restaurants & sporting venues. It is exhausting. What you made fun of is exactly what we're trying to educate on! Thanks for giving the public permission to harass and torment and jeopardize the safety of those living with this condition. Please take the time to educate yourself before you continue to make fun of us. Food allergies are no joke.

Shameful. You think my child enjoys having this allergy? Yes, you need to avoid peanuts around my child because he could die. So sorry you can't stuff your already heavy face with peanuts for a few hours.

this joke, like literally every single other joke you have ever written, wasn't funny. thanks for letting us know that your good times drinking and eating peanuts on a plane are more important than somone's--my son's--life and safety.

This is really a sad showing from a man that I've enjoyed before. My daughter has severe food allergies and that fact that you think it would be comic relief to joke about keeping her safe is truly disappointing.

Mr. Lopez-I am a mother of three-my only son has 53 food allergies-13 of them are life threatening. Guess what? He's Latino. My husband and I had always been huge fans of yours- however when we saw your show in Colorado in 2015 that change for me. Now, I am no "snowflake", but when people start making fun of children with life-threatening diseases, that is where I draw the line. I am no longer a fan of yours and if you don't want to continue losing fans in the Hispanic and Latino community you better change up your act. I have literally seen my son almost died four times because of his allergies. Is that funny to you?

Unfortunately, my son overheard George Lopez's "jokes" about food allergies. He is 9 years old and was actually scared that this man would find kids with allergies and stuff nuts down their shirts or eat them on purpose around them. Mr. Lopez has gone too far. None of what was said was funny. He needs to apologize and educate himself about food allergies and the impact they have on so many people. He compared a gun and peanuts. He needs to be informed that for someone with food allergies their allergen is just as deadly as a gun.
A VERY public apology is necessary!

"This country is comprised of all types of immigrants and all of it makes it great"...so true, Mr. Lopez. Let's get more specific--let's lose the labels and think about everyone as human beings. Empathy, compassion, and understanding is what we all seek. You are obviously ignorant to the dangers of food allergies and anaphylaxsis. There is nothing funny about life and death situations. You ask "why do I have to change because someone has a peanut allergy?" Educate yourself. In the interim, stop perpetuating the ignorance and animosity that you identify as a detriment to our country.

Threatening to kill (by putting almonds down a kids shirt who's allergic) is awful!! George Lopez even compared nuts to guns. This makes kids and adults think it's ok to make fun of and bully those with nut allergies. He should be ashamed of himself and make an apology so humans know it's not ok to attempt murder.
Also I promise all humans even George Lopez can last on an air plane without a nuts you won't die but you eating them could kill someone.
