BSc Engineering degree is earned after undergoing tough and competitive 4 years of education. Engineer is one who holds a 4 years BSc Engineering degree accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council.

Recently HEC along with PEC has declared B.Tech equivalent to BSc Engineering which is unjustified and clear violation of PEC Act and contempt of Supreme Court of Pakistan's orders. We Engineers strongly condemned this unlawful act and demand its withdrawal. Moreover, formation of CIDB and keeping it under Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) is to nullify PEC authority. To support our Engineering community and record our protest Young Engineers will be on a strike throughout Pakistan on January 28, 2022.

Our demands are as follows:

1. No equivalence of B. Tech with BSc Engineering

2. CIDB should be working under PEC only

3. Young Engineers should be included in PEC Governing Body
