There is a wonderful foot path through the woods that has been used for over 40 years to connect the neighborhoods of Winston Waterways and Largo Gardens at mile marker 102. The path is at the end of Gale Place and goes through to Tamarind Lane. A few years ago, concrete barriers were placed at the entrance and exit of the path. More recently, the county placed more concrete barriers and boulders in the middle of the path. These barriers are an eyesore and detract from the beauty of the woods that residents have enjoyed over the years. For generations, this path has been enjoyed by the residents of both neighborhoods. We, the undersigned, feel that here has been no negative impact of having this path being used prior to the placement of the concrete barriers. The concrete barriers have not limited its use, it has just made it more inconvenient to use, and created a tremendous eyesore unnecessarily. A useful footpath should be a valuable asset to connect two neighborhoods, and people should be able to enjoy the beauty and convenience of using the path, rather than seeing something so unnatural as a concrete barrier, and having to walk around it. Some residents of these neighborhoods spend time picking up litter in the woods and swamp, and to see these barriers placed there is like hundreds of pounds of immovable litter that needs to be removed. Please take a moment to sign this petition so we can see our path restored to its former beauty and use. Thank you, Residents of Largo Gardens and Winston Waterways
