The RAAC situation was government and Council negligence when building houses. The residents given these houses and in some cases buying the property did so in good faith and it's deplorable the powers that be are trying to shrug off their responsibility to make appropriate reparation/rehousing to those who have been let down as soon as possible

This appalling situation must be addressed by government. Planning permissions were granted and buildings inspected so why has this situation been allowed to develop?

I am amazed that a bank would lend on such a property

It is quite disgraceful that Aberdeen City Council actually approved the use of RAAC in buildings/houses without pre-informing home owners. We have ongoing mortgage contracts, paid interest to banks over the years, have equity on our properties, some have paid off their mortgages; are we meant to be liable for mortgage contracts and loose our equities? This is absolutely insane! ACC had better look into these in more details, demolition only isn’t the solution to the matters on ground! Everything is quite concerning!

These householders need more support from Aberdeen City Council to get moved quickly. Private owners to be offered a fair price for their homes.

Shocking, homeowners should at least be given the value they paid for properties, Scottish Government should hang their heads in shame for not stepping up to help with this.

Homeowners should get their house value of house before raak was discovered

Aberdeen Council’s treatment of the impacted home owners is absolutely abhorrent. The policy needs to change. The market value of their homes before the confirmation of RAAC should be honoured.

The council should buy the houses back at pre-raac prices. To offer post raac prices is morally reprehensible.

This is a moral obligation on the part of the council who are directly responsible for the plight of the people who bought these houses in good faith. They must enable these people to acquire an equivalent home.

I think it’s a disgrace that there isn’t much help towards those who are affected! So many will have to declare bankruptcy. Council is an absolute joke! Pull your weight and help the community, this isn’t their fault.

Disgraceful reaction by Aberdeen City Council having had these properties built in the '60s and reaped rent and sales from them over the decades. Do right by your constituents, amke good the problem and URGENTLY..
