If we don't stop all of this breed banning we'll never be able to own what we want to own. It won't stop at 1 or 2 breeds. We don't need laws to ban certain breeds what we do need are laws that are already on the books to be enforced. No one wants an aggressive dog that cannot be controlled. There are more dangerous breeds than just what some call "pit type" bull dogs. Once they get Pit Bulls banned it'll be ALL of the other breeds that scare someone. Just enforce the laws we already have.

I am a pittbull owner and can attest that they are mis-represented in the media.
They are an amazing family dog for the right people. Not for irresponsible dog owners who really should not own powerful breeds.

Honestly any dog can be "violent" if it's not raised properly. I hate how Pitbulls get a bad reputation, sometimes the news show dog attacks saying its a Pitbull when the dog doesn't have any pit in them. They just use that name to get attention.

My 7 month old 50 lb. Pitbull is one of the best dogs I have ever known. Very friendly, very intelligent, very loving, very obedient, and very affectionate. I have never seen him show aggression towards another animal, and certainly never towards a human. He is the friend and protector of the infants at my home daycare -- they love him almost as much as he loves them! I have seen way more aggression out of my 8 year old beagle, and he's not even an aggressive dog. No breed should be banned, only unfit owners.

I'm not from Kansas, but pit bulls shouldn't be punished for crimes that they don't purposely commit. The press only shows the bad things that pit bulls do. Why not the good things? People need to take the time to see what a PitBull really is. Loyal.

No ban on the breed! It is wrong!
It isn't the breed it how you raise them
