I support the petition.
Pity the management style of the school from it's inception was wisely structured in order to make sure that parents do not have a say. I do believe that as parents we hold the power to make the school a better place for the future of our kids. No one holds more power than us.

I was an ex Sport Coach & Marketing Assitant for the school. My job titles were overninundating and overwhelming as I had got there to Coach sport only and was coaxed into believing that I will only get a permanent contract if I accept both positions.
Thank you.

I called one educator immediately after receiving the bad news from the principal's office of educators leaving accusing her that their move shows no commitment to our children's education. I was full of shame when I later realised that for some it wasn't their decision. The educators were faced with an ethical dilemma of complying with the code of conduct and leave us provided incorrect information or be honest with us and provide correct information. What they did affirmed that they are not only excellent educator we know of but professionals who are honest, open and responsible. Now and again we will be faced with this kind of dilemma in our professions. It takes real leaders to realise that.

If the Star College educational leaders care about their school's reputation, transparent communication should lead the way.

The trust relation between the School and parents have been broken. We need clarity on the way forward to ensure that our kids receive the education that we pay for and expect from the school. We also expect honesty at all times.

In support of a motion for meeting to further look into the matters at Star College. "Excellence in education" should be maintained.

I have lost all confidence in "THE BOSS" aka the principal. Star college Pretoria is a wonderful school and credit should be given to the teachers and staff who are passionate about what they do.

We need transformational leadership for the organisation to succeed. The principal clearly stated in one of his meetings with us that he is the boss. What we need is a true leader that empowers and engages with both internal and external stakeholders to benefit and grow the organisation.

As a parent, I am concerned. But as a teacher I do not accept or tolerate the lies.

One thing I think we may have overlooked at the meeting held on Monday, 21 October 2019, was to call for an immediate halt on non-renewal of the teachers contracts without any reason until all issues are ventilated and a solution is found (for long-term sustainability of the school). Then the other issues relating to subtle racism, gender insensitivity, autocracy and arrogance … and general lack of respect, will be addressed with the powers that be, and not him.

I am concerned about the number of teachers leaving at once. I trusted the school and its management but now we are not informed properly and truthfully. I feel out children's futures are not being taken seriously by the school. If this was the plan all along why was it not communicated to parents on time so we can start looking elsewhere. For those parents moving their children due this mess, I suggest the school refund us our deposits. A child can only succeed if there is stability and consistency in their environment.
