I do not want a rooming house across from our duplex. Parking is bad enough already and this will set a precedent to have high density housing in the middle of a residential area. I am very opposed to this since there is enough high density housing close by,

This is a beautiful part of Minneapolis history, don’t tear her down!! The last thing the city needs is another horrid monster apartment building!!

This entire project is capitalistic in nature and Northland is patronizing the people of this neighborhood in their attempts to pander to what they think we want. What we really want is to keep the church the way it is.

This is part of Minneapolis History and the Architecture is One-of-a-kind!!! Our Beautiful City doesn't need anymore Ugly Squarw Box Condo or Apt. Buildings!!! We need to START Preserving These Historical Buildings like this Church before they are ALL GONE!!!

Como is in need of more community-oriented spaces, and this Church would be an obvious and fitting candidate for renovation and implementation as such a space. If higher density buildings are to be put in this neighborhood, they should certainly be alongside Como and Hennepin Avenues, not the interior streets. This proposal is almost certainly not being made out of genuine interest for strengthening Como as a community -- it's being made because it seems lucrative to property developers who likely have nothing to do with this neighborhood, and no interest in it besides eventually evolving it into a cleansed, character-devoid luxury wasteland like Dinkytown.

This is a church with years of history in my family . This is not a site to place a large rental housing.
Listen to the community who does not want this in a family housing neighborhood.

It would be a travesty to lose a historic building (one of the few remaining in Como) to a massive rooming house model that serves only one purpose - to make the developer richer - and does not provide a quality or affordable housing option for the market it claims. Just talk to students about how much they hate the multi-bedroom, living with strangers arrangement. Or ask Student Legal Services about how predatory a housing model it can be.
