CONCERNED CITIZENS OF PARATRANSIT [email protected] STANDING UP FOR ACCESSIBLE TRANSPORTATION

This RTA Paratransit TAP and RAP system does not work for suburban Cook County riders. Only Chicago gets the best benefits from RTA/PACE Paratransit. I can’t even get to my doctor appointments spread out all over the suburbs now because PACE PARATRANSIT doesn’t go there and TAP/RAP is only available for Chicago residents. Too bad for any kind of rides for the disabled or seniors in suburban cook county areas. The best benefits are only for riders in the City of Chicago!!!!

Please find a way not to hurt disabled and low income riders with cuts!

These proposed changes will only allow disabled people to travel from their homes twice a week (round trip). Limiting the mobility of an already disadvantaged group is cruel

My daughter with Down syndrome needs access to this transportation, and one trip a day is not enough. Please allow at least 60 trips per month. And the increase of 63% per ride is extreme. Please consider a bump up to $2.50 per ride.

Please help us get at least 60 rides pet month because 30 doesn't cover coming and going!

Please increase the number of trips allowed per day to at least 2 per day. Why was this decision made without community input?

This is an unacceptable cut and an insult to folks who depend on this service to live their lives. Please reconsider.

This is an inhumane and unacceptable proposed cut. You’ll have to find money elsewhere — not by making paratransit non-functional for riders with disabilities.

I really think this is not saving money just causing headaches

This will effect me as I have seizures and Pots syndrome... I am on a fixed income my only income is disability.. please don't take this away.

This is completely unacceptable!! An average of just one trip a day?! Do better, RTA. Shame!

The proposed price increase and monthly ride limit are a direct assault on poor disabled people. Absolutely shameful.
