This is a neighborhood with young families. Children are able to play outside and enjoy the peacefulness of their neighborhood. Running a business such as this is inviting in too much traffic, smoking in the streets, and undoubtedly someone who will capitalize on the opportunity to expose young adults to drugs/alcohol/tobacco in order to befriend them for later drug dealing.

My only (!) concern would be that this facility demonstrate effective rehabilitation models. Per Zillow, this facility has plenty of room for parking. People seeking rehab in effective treatment facilities are an asset to their communities. The people who wrote the petition are using fear and stigma rather than legitimate concern.
