This is a petition concerning the co-fellowship structure. To whom it 'will' concern.

We experienced CILAS as an inclusive community, and we really need to keep it so, beside being able to sustain itself. And regarding sustainability, we think of the co-fellowship as a precious opportunity for anyone to 'learn the craft' closely from the fellow, and to experience the whole one-year journey with him/her. Hoping, after this, that he 'may' continue to have a master degree and be able to hold responsibility again in CILAS, as a fellow. ‎‏‎

‎‏‎With this concept in our mind, we suggest the following re-structure;

- Offering a co-fellow slot for every field of study for the whole year, so we have ‎4 co-fellows instead of two, and instead of only acting as a co-fellow for the core curriculum for TWO fields of study (which is a heavy load, beside being distracting. If we really seeking to make the co-fellow learn something)

- Each co-fellow will stick to a field of study and a certain 'resident' fellow (hopefully for the 3 trimesters). That will allow him/her to gain, build and experience a real knowledge about what he/she is up to. In addition, 3 trimesters is better to learn than one.

- ‏4 is more inclusive than 2. We already know that there are many applicants out there.

- lastly, (and it is deliberately the last), concerning the 'salary' issue, the suggestion here is to divide the 5000 L.E sum that you can afford for two, and offer it for the 4 people. (1250 L.E for each). This should not be a concern here.

If you support the above-mentioned points, please sign the petition.
