Complaints on European Parliament resolution on the situation in Ethiopia (2016/2520(RSP)) due to Its Misguiding Statement about Amhara

The Amharas are the most operesd, displaced & impoverished people in Ethiopia today. A systemic genocide is being committed against them.

The amhara people has been targeted by TPLF as many as the oromo people. Many atrocities were commited againt the amhara people in different occasions. Both amhara & oromo people are the prime victoms since TPLF come to power. I wonder how EU made this statement while different international organizations reported the crimes committed upon the amhara people including ethnic cleansing and displacement from their own land reside for long period of time. EU parlament, Please re-review the report and made the necessary corrections by cross checking researches or reports done before on this issue. Regards,

The Amhara are victims of an all-embracing discriminatory policies of the ruling Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) government. While the Amhara are one of the most disadvantaged groups in the country, it is very disappointing to see the EU mentioning them as part of the exploiters of the Oromo as indicated in this statement: “particularly the Oromo and the Somali (Ogaden), have been marginalized in favor of the Amhara.” This statement is totally false as it is well known that the Amhara have been targets of genocidal acts across different parts of the country at different times

It is Amharas that have been most affected by the Apartheid government of Tigray People Liberation Front. With their support hundreds of thousands Amharas were displaced from areas they lived for generations; their lands were taken by TPLF; their land is being given to Sudan. In their own compromised region they are being ruled by Tigraians. They weren't even allowed to participate in the conference to draft the constitution. How your respected institution came to lump us with Tigraians is beyond me. Please search for the truth and decide objectively.

The Amhara people also suffer much discrimination by the policy of ruling party T.P.L.f. The Amhara people is not responsible for the wrong doing of T.P.L.F
