In my opinion, the opportunity or access to higher education should not be based on a certain "kick-out"-rate as the School of Business and Economics apparently set nor need to fulfill. The level of the exam was not comparable to past exams at all and therefore, the passing rate should be definitely lowered to 50 %.

Really agree that this was a hard paper that was quite different from the past year papers that were available to us and feel that a reduction to a 50% passing rate would be really reasonable.

Structuring the exam like a story line might have been a nice approach in the course coordinators eyes. However once you had problems with the story / company, i.e. not being able to calculate everything correctly, my nervousness and insecurity highly increased. This lead to a high decrease in concentration because I felt like I already failed miserably. Personally, the lowering of the passing rate won't help me and I think the course coordinator should reconsider his innovative approach to writing an exam and concentrate on the topics that were in the book as well as in the tutorials. I felt like most of the "gained knowledge" of the last 7 weeks did not help me pass this exam.

The questions were really confusing since it seemed like they refer to each other. Thus, if you had the previous question wrong you would keep miscalculating the following calculations.

Much harder than it was supposed to be, lot of vocabulary unknown and it was specified to read the book again and again what i did, to understand the all concept, that I understood, I spent hours and hours to prepare this exam I was prepared for it but unfortunately the exam was something completelly different and unappropriate.

totally support + knowing that a lot of questions were wrong, WHILE doing the exam, increased my nervousness and insecurity. This resulted in a decrease of concentration as I felt like giving up during the exam. A decrease of the passing rate therefore does not help me personally. I also want to highlight that the idea of creating a story is a creative approach but not appropriate for an exam in a university. I found many questions confusing and prefer having questions that are straight forward and thus easier to understand!

50% is good, but I think considering the mistakes that were in the exam, it should be even lower! Additional to that is the point that there weren't just mistakes in the exam, but also stuff we didn't cover in the Tutorials or the Lectures, which for my part increased my nervousness even more! So finalizing i would propose an even lower rating scale.
