Not only is it unacceptable that such large mistakes could have been made, but I'm also concerned about how exactly the compensation marks will be calculated.

What was most distressing for me was that someone raised the error with him and he dissmissed it ten minutes into the exam only to come back an hour later to confirm the error.

A lot of time wasted re-attempting question 4 trying to find my mistaken not knowing there was a general mistake with the question, this led to me not finishing that question, and this affected my focus and time spent on the other questions. totally unfair. And question 3 also might have had a problem.

20 min were spent during the exam, while prof Khu was trying to figure out the correct equations for q4

Ridiculous amount of time wasted in continuously attempting to answer question 4 believing that the wrong values produced were through fault of mine and not carelessness in checking a ‘YEAR 3’ examination paper. Despite extra 10 minutes given (which is nowhere near enough time to compensate for an entire question and its associated stress) question 4 remained incomplete and the two other questions were put on hold and either finished or attempted in a careless manner due to lack of available time and focus.

Errors on Q4 made it unresolvable. Spent large portion of exam trying to resolve. As a result, caclulations were rushed with numerous errors aswell as huge time wastage. This meant, Q2 was left incomplete and Q3 unrevised due to not having enough time to come back to them.

Will pass detailed concerns onto the Year Rep for feedback to the department.

This is not the first time the department messed with our exams. The second year STRUCTURAL DESIGN -ENG2102 exam (for 2012 intake students) was given without the complete Eurocode. This was considered as a one-time mistake, but it turned out to be an everyday mistake surprisingly! And also if I am not mistaken we weren't informed properly as to what decisions they took when marking our papers. So disappointed with the fact that the 4th best university for civil engineering doesn't know how to hold a proper exam. If 2 hours were given to answer 3 questions, clearly 10 mins is not enough to repeat one whole question. This is the final year and everyone work so hard in order to get a good grade not to just pass the exams! I really hope this time they would take this into serious consideration and take necessary actions about it.

10mins of added time wasn't sufficient to compensate for the time lost in helping Prof.Khu to provide us with the correct equations plus the time required to redo the question. Furthermroe to add to the disruptions the invidulator decided to call the offices to let them know of the situation whilst inside the exam hall. As a result of these disturbances, it was difficult to regain concentration and as a result of the shortage of time, the previous question attempted couldn't be revised, corrected and completed as initialy planned.
