Complaint to AQA - Unit 1 and 2 Sociology exam 11/05/2015 and 14/05/2015

I had to skip the topic of crime and deviance due to that shitty word 'anomie.' I only know one person who had the luck of knowing it. Why was there A level fucking terms AQA!

Evil.

I'm appalled that the test did not fully examine me on my knowledge of the GCSE SYLLABUS but instead some of the A-level knowledge.

An exam paper needs to be fit for purpose after students have studied long and hard to have their knowledge tested. This is not acceptable AQA.

I personally think it us utterly disgraceful that AQA decided to put A-Level terminology in a gcse exam. Especially as we all expected consistency in the questions we would be asked.

I think it is absolutely appalling how our exam had content which was not in the GCSE syllabus, the idea that 15/16 year old students had endure an exam which was significantly more challenging than the GCSE content is wholly irresponsible on the part of AQA and there should be immediate action to allow these students to get the grades they deserve e.g. through the lowering of the grade boundaries and AQA needs to face an external an external investigation for its behaviour. Please make sure that AQA are alerted or contacted about this petition. Thank you!

Some of the questions in the gcse sociology paper were meant to be for alevel! This could lose me marks that I really required to continue in completing an alevel course in sociology. I am very upset about this and hope something can be done about this!

I had revised everything, but some of the questions i was completely unfamiliar with. For example, the 'anomie' definition and content analysis.

Soo angry, the content analysis question just threw me why that was on the paper is beyond me, AQA clearly set us up for failure...

The exam papers were both unfair and much harder than anything seen before. Some questions were about a level terms which in a GCSE exam isn't fair

No excuse as to why A level terms are used in GCSE papers. Grade boundaries need to be lowered hugely

It's hard enough learning and revising the spec, going through all stress which is new, come on 20+ exams in a matter of weeks!!! All the effort we put in and all the pressure the changes are putting on us, arguably makes this so hard, so at least we should be given exams on what they tell us to learn to random stuff! This will not only mean students miss out on marks on the stupid unreasonable questions but this pressure will make them feel like SHIT and doubt themselves and this will negatively impact their paper! WHY is everyone choosing us to VICITIMISE? It's not fair!!! This could be us missing out on a C, denying further education at chosen schools/colleges --> ruining our futures!!!!!

Not fair at all! I really wanted an A* for sociology, but a lot of the questions were really difficult and I strongly believe they got the way of me getting an A*, therefore the grade boundaries have to be lowered
