Over the weekend the daily mail made an article slamming Benedict for cancelling on Sherlocked covetion. However not once did Beneditch agree to doing this convention in the first place. Whilst yes other years he has appeared big actors don't always go to there conventions for different reasons. However much we would like to see William Shatter or Patrick Stewart at every star trek convention or Jennifer Lawrence and every Hunger games let face it doesnt happen. To single an actor out for "Cancelling" when he has never agreed to go to this convention was not advertised as a guest for this convention and couldn't make it to this convention is ridiculous and will put of stars from wanting to go to convention if there going to get articles about them and it means us fans will lose out. Anyone who is used to the convention circuit knows never to book a convention for one guest because there are always cancellations and if the news is going to start reporting cancellation people will stop wanting to do conventions on the the first place. Anyone with any sense knows if your booking for a guest that hasn't been announced well its your own fault if they are not available.
