Disgusting TfL and mayor and Islington should recompense those affected. Where is the input from the local MP?

I am a regular visitor to Mr Christophorou's shop. Nick has been running it successfully for two decades and Short Cut Barbers is an established part of the local community. His business is heavily reliant on passing trade, and the long-term nature of the bridge work, and lack of signage outside his store is affecting his business terribly. It is disgusting that the establishment seem to bow to TFL ahead of listening to the voices of the local businesses these changes affect, and I feel such business should be compensated for loss of earnings through something that is not their own doing. Small, local businesses like this have enough of a struggle with red routes, rents, taxes, inflation, recession etc without something like this, something which could be cause unassailable problems. Establishments like this should be supported by massive institutions like the government and TFL, not hamstrung and forced into extinction. Please do something about this.

Its about time that TFL & the local authorities took responsibility for their irresponsible and negligent actions by supporting and compensating local businesses that have suffered due to the limited access created by their roadworks.
