Last year Universities and the NCAA made millions from college football games and broadcasts. The 2011 National Championship was the 2nd highest rated televised sporting event only behind the Super Bowl. The University of Wisconsin profited more than $382,000 off of The 2012 Rose Bowl after expenses. Even though the coaches, organizers, NCAA, and broadcasters made millions from of college football last year, the actual players received no monetary compensation for their hard work, dedication, and performance. We are proposing an end to this unjust system by compensating the players. The NCAA currently has a plan in review that would give each athlete $2,000 a month in order to cover food, rent, and additional living expenses.  Even though this plan has been proposed to the NCAA, it currently has been shelved and is not currently in discussion for the NCAA. Sign this petiton to help end this injustice.
