T-Mobile wants to erect twelve 55 foot Cellular Antenna panels on the roof of the Delmor Apartment building at 1551 Echo Park Ave. (Total height of the panels would be 55 feet, including building height, exceeding the 45-foot height limit of the 1VL Height District) The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) DOES NOT REGULATE radio frequency (RF) exposure standard. According to the FCC, effects of continuos RF exposure have been linked to health risks such as CHILDHOOD LEUKEMIA, CATARACT, IMMUNE SYSTEM, NEUROLOGICAL and BEHAVIORAL EFFECTS, STERILITY and CANCER. Your signature will encourage the Echo Park Chamber of Commerce to champion this cause and let T-Mobile know that community is more important than cell phones. PLEASE ATTEND the ONLY public hearing there will be on this subject before it's too late to challenge this in court: MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. Los Angeles City Hall 200 North Spring Street, Room 1050 (Enter from Main Street) Los Angeles, CA 90012 Any court challenge to the Zoning Administrator's action on this matter is limited to only those issues raised PRIOR to the close of this public meeting. This, or course, is a slimy way of slipping this whole thing under the radar before Echo Park even knows what is happening. And by that time it may be too late. DON'T LET T-MOBILE get away with this!
