When you consider the dollars made by out of compliance VRs, $200,000 is a small start. Out of compliahnce? Lose your license. They've had two years already! Call it nasty mob mentality, but the only nasty comment I have read here so far is this one. Please re-read the comments; most are well reasoned, not "pull up the drawbridge!"

They are god fearing humans who would like to enjoy the same things you enjoy by being here...They are our "Guests" of these islands. You all treat them like some kind of monsters who are here to steal your neighborhood spirit, which you cannot identify as most people don't even know or care to know thier neighbor. It is far better to have happy smiling gratefull people visiting next door than a grumpy gun toting good ole boy with 5 dogs barking , 4 broken down cars in the driveway, right? Would you want to know who was sleeping next to you then? Such discriminations against your fellow man, just because he or she did not seek your approval as a human before sleeping next to you?

You mean supply and demand? Tourists and people that stay at a vr must be totally differnet types of humans than you are right? They over eat, they drink too much water, they exude more trash than you and yours. Your groups logic runs so close to early experiences when persons of different color and background moved into a neighbor hood. Same illogical statements, same lies and fear broadcasting...You all should be ashamed.

So you know what limits are limits? What standard are you using...Sewer capacity? Water capacity...All these were decided by the County prior to building permit of the home.. You guys have not yet established a problem. only metaphors and innuendos. mob mentality.

What carrying capacity...The problem of the inability of "sustained" renewable resources is a World Wide Problem. It is humorouse to see your group use that against Ma and Pa cottage home rentals. Mob Mentality.

You really are saying no Tourism correct? Why doesnt your group just say that instead of attacking your fellow Islanders who run a cottage industry of home rental to make thier payments? No Tourism, no need for subsidized housing...as that is what "low income housing is really about" It has to be subsidized by Govt money...your money. Mob mentality..

So the real issue is to restrict or stop tourism...Thats a great idea that way you would not need low income housing for the restaurant and store workers because there would not be any stores or restaurants. Draw bridge mentality..."I am here, no more need to come.
