COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR ALI SHAH KHOWAJA – HUMANITARIAN AND COMPASSIONATE CONSIDERATIONS
This letter is a show of community support for Ali Shah Khowaja. We have been informed that there is a possibility of Ali not being allowed to stay in Canada permanently and that there is a possibility of him being removed from Canada. We want to show Immigration Canada that removing Ali from Canada and separating him from the life he has built here would be very difficult for him, his sister, his family members, his friends, and his community.
We request Immigration Canada not put him in a distressing situation and we, further, want to persuade Immigration Canada to consider granting Ali permanent residence based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.
Ali is a citizen of Pakistan. He arrived here to find a better life for himself and his family, and to be in a better position to shape the future of his family. For a few, his visits may seem like a short period but for Ali after his time spent here, Canada has become his true and only home. To be denied permanent residency and asked to leave our country would bring great hardship and heartache to Ali and his family, especially during this time. Life would be tough for him and his family if he were forced to leave Canada now. Removing him from Canada would cause a distressing situation for him. We do not want to lose such a compassionate and family-driven individual; his full potential is yet to be uncovered.
Ali has become an integral part of our community, actively contributing to its growth and diversity. His dedication to building connections with people from various backgrounds has enriched our community, fostering an environment of equality and respect. He has invested his time, effort, and resources into Canada, and his commitment goes beyond personal gain.
Ali’s presence in Canada is crucial for the well-being of his family, especially his daughter, Aaliya. Aaliya has been raised outside of Pakistan. Returning to the country would be a great hardship for her. Ali is a family-driven individual who cares deeply and loves his family unconditionally. The pleas for the humanitarian and compassionate grounds application rest greatly in the best interests of him and his family. Without a shred of doubt, we find Ali to be a respectful individual and know that he already treats Canada as his home.
Ali has been away from Pakistan for several years. If removed from Canada, due to the underemployment and unemployment situation in Pakistan, due to his age and lack of recent experience, it would cause Ali to make painstaking efforts to re-establish himself in the country, if that were even possible. We know that Ali would experience considerable dislocation and it would be very difficult, if not impossible, for him to find gainful employment if he were forced to return to Pakistan. If he is not accorded permanent residence, he and his family will experience considerable hardships.
Ali has undergone an ordeal which, on normal accounts, will cause a person to break down. He, however, stands apart from the crowd. Despite the ordeal he has undergone, he has not given up the zeal and drive to be able to provide for his family. We empathize and sympathize with his situation and request that emphasis be paid to his age, profession, experience, and family. We support Ali’s aspirations and request that he be allowed to stay where he belongs. Please let him continue working towards building his future in Canada, a place that he already treats as home.
In his time spent here, Ali has fallen in love with our country and has become accustomed to our way of life here. He has become an essential member of the community and has been actively looking to contribute his time and effort towards community development. He knows the importance of communal involvement. This bright individual’s prospects and potential would be limited if he could not remain in Canada permanently.
Canada has provided him with a haven that he could never have imagined back in Pakistan. His absence would be significantly felt throughout the community. We would be worse off, as a societal group, if he were forced to leave us. Ali treats us as his family and community. Please do not let us be separated from one another.
Ali is a prime example of what Canada stands for, a rich cultural diversity. Removing him from Canada would be an unspeakable hardship for him, his friends, his family, and his community. He is a valuable and contributing member of society and the community. We know that he will continue to give so much more when permitted to stay in Canada permanently. We do not want to lose an exceptional individual with the calibre and potential like him.
Granting Ali permanent residence would provide him and his family with a sense of stability and security, enabling them to continue making a positive impact and contributing to the welfare of our community and the country as a whole. Allowing him to stay is not only in his best interest but also in the best interest of our community, which has come to value and appreciate his presence.
As a community, we support this application for permanent residency based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. Please allow Ali to stay in Canada. Every person undersigned here joins in this request.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
