Title:
Community Statement Supporting Rachel LaBranche’s Continued Access to the Oconee Judicial Circuit and Opposing Judicial Exclusion

Petition Description / Text:

We, the undersigned members of the community, submit this statement in support of Rachel LaBranche and her continued access to the Oconee Judicial Circuit.

Based on our direct interactions and personal knowledge, we believe Ms. LaBranche is an asset to the community, not a liability. While early judgments may have been made about her based on past circumstances, those assumptions do not reflect the person she is today. She has demonstrated accountability, personal growth, and a sincere commitment to rebuilding her life following incarceration.

Ms. LaBranche has become a respected and trusted member of the community. She contributes positively to those around her, maintains appropriate conduct, and shows respect for lawful authority and community standards. We do not believe she poses a threat to public safety, court operations, or the integrity of the judicial process.

In our collective opinion, banning Ms. LaBranche from the Oconee Judicial Circuit would be detrimental to her continued rehabilitation and reintegration. Continued access to the judicial system supports accountability, stability, and lawful progress — all of which she has demonstrated a commitment to maintaining.

By signing this petition, we affirm our support for Rachel LaBranche’s continued access to the Oconee Judicial Circuit and ask that our collective statement be considered in any decisions regarding her access.
