This is a bad move for children. This district will never move if it continues to be run like this. The last superintendent ran it in the ground and This one was cleaning it up. Fire the board.

Dr. Talbert is very open with letting the community know what is happening with the school district whether positive or negative. She helps the community see the possible resolutions as well for ALL the school community, not just South Amityville and Massapequa. Please RECONIZE.

Dr. Talbert is doing an outstanding job for the students as well as the staff. Unfortunately, there has been a bigger problem in Amityville school system way before Dr. Talbert enter this district.

It seems a little hasty to terminate the superintendent at this point. Dr. Gina Talbert inherited a situation which was less than ideal. I wonder if she knew all the financial difficulties that existed. That being said. If she knew the financial difficulties, I applaud her for taking on the challenge. If she did not know the financial difficulties then surely, in fairness she should be given a reasonable amount of time to rectify past errors. In truth their are some very deep underlying issues in the Amityville School district. I myself believe that Dr. Gina Talbert is a step in the right direction. As far as the matter of salaries you get what you pay for. It is sad to see people who claim to want top of the line education for children but want to nickel and dime teachers, teaching assistants and other staff. We all pay taxes. I just wonder how many individuals who complain about the salaries of others have turned down raises for the good of their employer. Everyone enjoys raises. Everyone enjoys a financial increase. The previous mismanagement of money should not be the passed on to those who work hard and are seeking to provide quality education for our children.

I definitely support her renewal. She is doing a fantastic job as superintendent. In context, she inherited the district budget shortfall. She has integrity, experience and she advocates for students success. We need her!!! Thanks
