Public Test Realms work pretty well in other games, ED could totally benefit a lot from it as well.

As a PC and PS4 player I really hope this game can be built up to the point that it can still compete with newer space games that are (still) under development.

PS4 player I'm not exactly the biggest gamer of late but Elite: Dangerous is a game I recently got back into playing I enjoy it but the September update almost had me hanging up the controller for this game. I respectfully ask the creator's of this great game to listen to the community

Been a hardcore player since day one on both Xbox One and PS4, and haven't touched the game in quite awhile because I'm sick of the issues. Its a great game with so much potential, if you would work with us just a little we could help.

YES! finally the players have rallied around and seen the truth of what I've been saying for SIX YEARS about FDev and thier shoddy development of ED, all of which got me BANNED by them from thier forum and BLOCKED by them from twitter - let's see them try to shut this down eh?

I think this is a great idea. There are a few games with player test servers (pts) that have done nothing but make the game better, like pubg. The test server doesnt always need to be running but its makes financial sense. Would you rather your hardcore players thoroughly test patches and updates before release? Or CONTINUE to release severely broken updates that you then need to pay your staff to fix, which more than likely effects other updates and things on your schedule? I understand Elite Dangerous has a 10 year development cycle in the eyes of the Devs.i just dont get how that translates into a great experience for the players? You're stuck being on of two types, a hardcore player that will always play ED, and then the more casual people who jump in and out. Wouldnt a developer want a more stable player base? A more loyal player base? The way things are currently going you're loosing players all in the HOPES that they will come back or new players will take their places, places emptied due to frustration. There needs to be a detailed public roadmap. I would think that's obvious for any game with such a prolong development, and I'm looking at start citizen. As of right now we basically have to wait 12+ months for any sort of game change. In between now and then it will be soulless in game events and more painite and opal mining, FOR OVER A YEAR. how many people will stick that out? I'm a hardcore fan so at the very least I'll come back late next year, but what if something else catches my eye? Or other players? There needs to be more engagement and interaction with the community.

It would be a shame to see a game with so much potential die due to negligent development. Frontier pls.
