Subject: Urgent Request for Intervention Regarding Growing Feral Cat Issue in Golf Grove

We, the undersigned residents of Golf Grove, Dubai Hills, would like to formally express our growing concern regarding the increasing number of stray and feral cats within our community.

Over recent months, the situation has significantly worsened and is now affecting the safety, health, and quality of life of residents and families in the neighborhood.

Key Concerns
1. Noise Disturbance
Continuous loud fighting and mating noises, particularly at night, are causing sleep disruption and stress to residents.
2. Loss of Natural Fear of Humans
Many cats now approach residents without hesitation and roam freely around homes, cars, entrances, and children’s play areas.
3. Aggressive Behavior & Safety Risks
Several residents have experienced threatening or aggressive encounters. We are increasingly concerned about the risk of scratches, bites, and potential disease transmission.
4. Public Health & Hygiene Issues
Accumulation of waste, fleas, parasites, and possible spread of illnesses presents a growing public health concern — particularly for children and pets.
5. Rapid Population Growth
The absence of population control has resulted in unchecked breeding, which will continue to escalate the problem if not addressed immediately.

Our Request

We respectfully ask Emaar to take prompt and professional action by:
• Engaging a licensed animal management company to:
• Humanely relocate the cats to appropriate shelters or controlled areas.
• Implement a Trap–Neuter–Return (TNR) program, including sterilization of male and female cats to control population growth.
• Installing preventive measures such as:
• Secure waste management systems to reduce food sources.
• Signage discouraging unregulated feeding.
• Ongoing monitoring of the community.

We believe this approach balances human safety, public health, and animal welfare while preserving the peaceful living environment that Golf Grove residents expect and deserve.

Conclusion

We kindly request Emaar’s written response and action plan within the coming weeks.
We look forward to working collaboratively toward a long-term, sustainable solution for our community.

Sincerely,
Residents of Golf Grove, Dubai Hills
