We, the undersigned residents of Belterra in Hays County, Texas, are gravely concerned about ongoing reckless and dangerous driving by a teenage driver in our neighborhood.

Over the past several weeks, more than sixty residents have witnessed and reported incidents involving this driver. The repeated dangerous behaviors threaten the safety of our children, families, and pets. Many of these incidents have been documented in community forums and reported directly to law enforcement.

Documented Concerns

Residents have consistently reported the following:

• Driving at extreme speeds through neighborhood streets (up to 60 mph).

• Tailgating vehicles, including those carrying children, so closely that rear sensors were activated.

• Passing multiple vehicles illegally and aggressively on Belterra Drive and nearby roads.

• Revving engines, squealing tires, and performing reckless maneuvers around stop signs and intersections.

• Verbal aggression and obscene gestures toward other drivers.

• Nearly striking a deer and endangering wildlife and drivers.

• Specific repeat locations include Palisade Drive, Catalina, Littleton, Sawyer Ranch, Nutty Brown/290, and Mesa Verde.

Multiple witnesses have identified the same vehicle, a BMW sedan with Texas license plate number WVH0039, consistently involved in these incidents.

Requests

In light of these repeated and escalating dangers, we respectfully request the following:

1. Increased law enforcement patrols in Belterra, especially during peak hours when these incidents have occurred.

2. Formal investigation into the identified driver, with consideration for referral to juvenile court and suspension of driving privileges if appropriate.

3. Regular collaboration between Hays County law enforcement, our neighborhood leadership, and residents to monitor ongoing issues.

Closing Statement

This is not an isolated issue but a pattern of reckless conduct that has put dozens of families at risk. We submit this petition as a united community, in good faith, seeking swift and effective action to protect our neighborhood.
