Many drivers veer off South Gippsland Hwy to Hastings road & exit Northey road to Lynbrook up to Evans road. I use Northey road minimum of 6 times a week. Closing this exit would add more traffic chaos at the bottle neck at Monash Fwy Cranbourne exit merge to South Gippsland Hwy.

For people coming back to Lynbrook from the city on the Monash, Northey Rd avoids the terrible congestion around Sth Gipps Hwy exit. Also, it's how we get to Lyndhurst and Frankston without having to go many kilometres out of our way. At the very least Northey Rd should remain open until Glasscocks Rd is open with a crossing over the railway line!

Northy Road is a vital part of linking Lynbrook to other communities such as Lyndhurst and other communities particularly in the south of Lynbrook, and gives access to the Freewayincluding the Western Port Hwy. Thsi will be Huge blow to this community and will affect those commuters who work in the southern areas and use Northy road to access there workplaces. This needs closer examination and more thought as to how it impacts this local community needs to take place.

Closing Northy Rd will make it very difficult for people in our neighbourhood to get on to WESTERNPORT highway.There are many commercial vehicles using Northy Rd because of the Businees Park and they will add to the traffic congestion on the Sth Gippy. You should check this out after 3.30pm each day.

My husband and I use Northey rd toa ccess Lyndhurst, Carrum Downs, Skye and Frankston. YOu will be cutting Lynbrook off from many towns if you close this access road.

The early residents of Lynbrook lobbied long and hard to get Northey Road opened. It has only been open around 5 years and now VicRoads wants to close it again. I VOTE NO !!!!!!!

This Western Port Hwy upgrade is a joke, and now you want to close Northey Road. That will leave ONLY THOMPSONS ROAD as the only way between Lynbrook and Lundhurst. Has any politician actually travelled on Thompsons road during peak hour. Do not close Northey Road !!!

Northey Rd closure will cause a lot of issues with the Cranbourne highway. Afternoon peak already banks back to freeway.

No, Northey rd should not be closed as a Lyndhurst resident i use it too often and it would be a great shame to see it go!! I also think that an over pass/or an under pass for Aylmer rd should be made ASAP; this would benefit at least half of Lyndhurst residents. It would cause less traffic headache for people, less fuel consumption going around to get to the other suburb eg: Lynbrook. & Closer Shooping!!!

closing Northey is a grave mistake not only for local traffic but for traffic currently conjesting south gippsland hwy. currently the latter is really tough to navigate and the closure with cause greater pressures on families and frustration on the roads. We all now what happens when frustrations spill over on the roads. Please let common sense prevail and don't permanently close Northey.
