Generations of families has seen our community go from good to bad, and back to bad to good, our mothers eyes, grandparents eyes has endured these elements, keeping their loyalty, pride, and principles as the morels they lived by, now out of disrespect powers-at-be-want to come in and give the neighbors that's been living in this community for 40, 50, 60, and 70 years some exit(vouchers)papers. It's unacceptable and a slap in the face to disrespect these loyal citizen their rights to be able to resided in the new Marrero-Common, formerly the B.W.Cooper, formerly The Calliope Project, where they have lived all their lives. Our community deserve the same Quality of Life, with affordable housing in side their neighborhood where they have grown to appreciate, live as a community that's changing for the betterment of our families. We would like to be able to use these "VOUCHERS" as payment on rent in the new Marrero-Common, for every apartment that's available in our community, without having to look else where. The affordable housing market is full of blight, there is nothing to look for, so with all due-respect, we wish to stay in our community where there are housing available.
