There is currently a petition to ban alcohol at a private business in Poplar Bluff (Missouri) because children go there. There will apparently be a vote on April 18, so there is not much time left!!
If you feel that the city council has NO BUSINESS regulating whether or not a PRIVATE BUSINESS can sell alcohol if they get a permit from the state, then PLEASE SIGN THIS!!!

I have been hearing from so many of you who believe that our local business owners should have the final say in how they operate. It is quite overwhelming to see how many people share this view on personal autonomy. I am currently working to organize these thoughts before we approach the council.

I am honestly stunned by how many people have stepped up to defend these basic freedoms. This reaction shows just how deeply our neighbors care about keeping local businesses independent. It really is all of you driving this momentum forward.

Ridiculous that the city thinks they can tell a business owner how to run things. If you dont like the place just dont go there simple as that.
Agree 100000000% (yes, i know that the most i can actually agree with this is 100%). I hate cigarette smoke, but if a privately-owned business requires patrons to smoke 10 packs of cigarettes in order to patronize the establishment, that should be the business owner's right.
Is this real? How ridiculous.

Business owners should have the right to choose what lawful activities are allowed on their own premises
