I spoke to the city council against all of this. They voted to allow the first step of the plan. I believe we need to attend the next city council meeting on April 18 to share our feelings about this important decision.

No No No! This is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. If you Want to drink then go to the bar! Not a water park made for kids!!

I believe our young teenagers and kids need a safe place to go that we as parents and grand parents don't have to worry about them being exposed to alcohol

It's ridiculous that the owners of Hydro Adventures are even considering serving alcohol at a children's water park. If they do, they will lose us as season pass customers. There aren't too many options in PB that are kid friendly; don't let greed ruin a good thing you have going on. Responsible people with children will stop coming and you will have so many liability problems. Let's keep one place safe for our children to go and have fun.

I pray this doesn't pass!!! This is a fun place to bring your kids and family...alcohol...really....this isn't a bar, or floating down the river, this is a place to take you family and kids to have fun, a water park...I'm pretty sure you don't see people chugging beers at Disney Land with their kids!!! Or at the water parks in Branson or the ones here in Las Vegas even...come on, have fun with your kids the good old fashioned way, soda, chips, sandwich, swimming, water slides, and then go home and have a beer for goodness sakes if it's that bad that you have to have a beer!!!

Children need to have safe places to play and enjoy family time. My parents never took me to the water parks at Branson then went and picked up beer to enjoy the day, they bought soda and water and and enjoyed the day with us as kids because it was family time!!! I also agree letting someone drink and then drive out of that parking lot is eventually asking to hit another ones car or worse a child or kid. This is asking for trouble...have fun on your day out then go home to a beer if that's your fancy!! But don't do it there!!! That should never be legal for a family park like that!!!

Allowing the sell of alcohol at the water park is, in my opinion, one of the worst moves Poplar Bluff has made.

As a family we are season passholders. We will not purchase any if this passes. This isn't family friendly.
This isn't on the Current River, when drinkers puke, it will be on the lazy river, the slides and the wave pool. Heat & alcohol, then put a drunk on a go-kart? Plus, drunks leaving the parking lot with kids all over? I cringe at all the horrible scenarios I am sure will happen. Addiction is such a serious problem these days, families will have no refuge if the water park becomes a floating bar...

Children need a " safe" place to play and have fun. No alcohol, for heaven sakes there aren't that many places for them to go in Poplar Bluff.

I was one of the origianl employees back when Dr. John Patty oppened the park and bought out his orinigal partner who wanted to sell alcohol as well. This is one reason he bought him out! I think it should stay alcohol free!
