The city council voted no and honestly I am still shaking because I really thought they might push it through anyway (but they didn't). It feels so good to know the place stays safe for all the kids and I just want to say thank you for sticking by me …

We the community members of Poplar Bluff, MO. and surrounding areas strongly wish to urge the city council members to vote NO on April 18th allowing Hydro Adventures of Poplar Bluff, MO. the right to sell alcohol with no limitations. We believe, as a family establishment with children of all ages, this is not the place to introduce acohol for safety reasons. Please, take into consideration the number of signatures this petition has and the safety of our families when placing your vote. We understand that your vote will be what you believe is best for our community.

I just looked at the screen and saw we crossed the one hundred mark which feels completely surreal considering I was worried only my family would care about this. It is just so wild to see neighbors actually engaging with this because I really do think that keeping the water park safe for the kids has to stay the top priority.

This is wrong on every level. Have you ever been to Current River and seen the drunk floaters and their behavior. Pitiful!! This is family environment, keep the alcohol out!! You will end up giving these young life guards a workout with potential drownings.

Water sports and alcohol do not mix well. In addition to that, children will be present, and introducing them to the negative world of alcohol consumption would be on those who vote "yes". Do you really want to inspire a child to drink?

My children and I spend a lot of time at the water park. It should be a place of family enjoyment, not a place of drunkedness. We don't have much for families to do in PB, let us protect what we have for the families in the community. The bar is for drinking.

I foresee many problems here, drunk driving and the lifeguard having to take care of a belligerent adult. I do not see the pros here but see many cons. This has not been researched and I see it it is just to make money and no consideration for the customer.

Why is this even being questioned!!??!! The answer should now and forever be no! This place is a family establishment I take my children there! But will not continue to take them if this passes and I know I'm not the only parent!

It is crazy to include alcohol where there will be children present!! Especially when it involves water and rides. What if someone that has been drinking stumbles and accidentally pushes a child into danger? Not a good combination!

Seriously you could drunks stumbling out of the bar zone into the area were the kids go also it would bring some violance if two drunks get into fight
