I would also like to see the high school call an informational forum on the history of the Middle East conflict for the students. There is a lot of unhelpful and dangerous misinformation out there.

I agree with this eloquent letter and the proposals to address the antisemitism in Berkeley schools.

I am the grandmother of two children in the BUSD, and I am appalled at what I am hearing about the anti-semitism allowed to run unchecked in your school system. Are you so ignorant of Jewish history that you are doing nothing?

Caring for all is a far more important lesson from a school than oppressing some to display one's values.

As a Berkeley High alumnus it's super important to me that my son attend without fear of prejudice against him for his religion.

Please make this happen. What happened in Israel is 15th century barbarism. And what is happening in the US is like pre-war Nazi behavior. Let's protect the children now before something happens here.

A terror organization should not be glorified. It should denounced in strongest terms possible

One of my closest friends and her family live there. As a Jewish person and humanitarian, I'm shocked and disgusted to read about what's happening. Educators are supposed to do better.

The petition text says it beautifully. BUSD, please listen and take Jewish concerns seriously.

One can be Jewish and simultaneously be against the occupation of Gaza, the taking of lands and lives from Palestinian people AND against the terrorizing acts of violence against Israeli people too. Come on, BUSD, as the educators and leaders of our youth, it is your duty to transmit that informed citizenry means knowing and teaching the recognition of nuance and complexity, not pandering to soundbite culture. One can be Jewish and in favor of ceasefires. Most spiritual traditions agree: peace is the goal. Extremist minorities co-opting spiritual titles to do evil in their name is the side of history that BUSD does not want to fall on.

Please help students to understand the meaning of barbaric massacre. This is what was perpetrated upon Israel. There is no case for equivalence that can possibly be made.
