My kids (and their mom!) feel safer at school having SROs on the campus. The current SROs are helpful, kind, and give our kids positive exposure to police officers. There is absolutely no upside to pulling them out of schools. We need them IN the buildings, building relationships with the students and faculty that they are there to support. Please listen to the parents and kids of the district!

I simply don’t understand the upside of removing SROs from the schools. SROs creative positive relationships between young people and law enforcement, they keep our students and faculty safer, and parents overwhelmingly support leaving SROs in place. Please - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Keep SROs in our schools.

The SRO program at PSD schools is an immensely positive relationship and has served my family well on multiple occasions. Attempts to end this arrangement are incredibly misguided.

SROs are extremely valuable to our community and as a parent of a child in PSD I want an officer at my child’s school for safety but also as a positive role model.

When I was an administrator at Rocky in the mid 1990’s, we worked hard as a community to put SRO’s in the schools. It was a successful

My daughters attend Lesher Middle School. They shared they feel safer at school with the resource officers in the school. They also say kids will have lunch with the SRO’s if they are having issues at home or school. When I told my 8th grader the school board was thinking about removing the SRO’s from the schools her response was “ oh that is a bad idea! If a 14 year old can tell it is a bad idea why can’t the powers that be understand it is a bad idea? As a parent I feel safer with SRO’s at the school..

For the safety of all of our PSD kids, please continue to provide our schools with the SROs that they need. There is a reason that we have them!

This is such a shame that it’s even a topic. My HS daughter said she won’t feel safe at school if SRO’s aren’t present and visible. These kids have had a year and half of getting their world turned upside down, now you’re playing with their safety. Give me a break. If it’s a budget issue, then cut salaries of the powers that be!

I believe having SROs in schools is critically important. What better way to keep our kids safe AND provide a positive interaction between future adults and law enforcement. Please do the right thing, listen to the community and keep SROs in our schools.

SROs are a valuable resource in our schools. Its important that our children grow to see local law enforcement as friend and allies, not a threat.

We should encourage a posture of respecting others in our children. Eliminating SRO’s is a bad decision

SROs are so important in the school system. It's about developing a good relationship with law enforcement from a young age. It's about keeping our kids safe.

PSD needs to quit making it about politics and use some common sense. If that is possible for them .
