Petition: Community Benefits to Invest in The Port

Please allow for the $ to be shared equally so that programs that benefit many young students can continue to serve the community. The Art Center has accommodated my son with his Health issues he was still able to attend the Art Center. It gave him a chance to still participate in the community and I am so grateful for that. The Cambridge community Art Center deserves whatever funding they get and more. Thank you.

Seems to be a need for an equitable process, where all our great non-profits benefit.

I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in our current city council and the way they are conducting 'business'..they ask for input but no one is truly listening to OUR community needs!! ..it CERTAINLY IS NOT for the benefit of life long residents, such as myself (as a person with very limited walking ability- to include loss of parking in Area 4/Port), and the families these neighborhood programs service. I am behind Port programs 100%

Community benefits should be distributed in an equitable way. I don't understand how a single non government organization can negotiate what should be negotiated by the city.

Community Art Center is a treasure. We're Cambridge residents and our kids have learned so much there over the years, and built community. Any Community Benefits Agreements for development in the neighborhood need to have significant public input and be equitably distributed.

Please pause this process. BioMed Realty already has a massive footprint in Cambridge. We owe it to our city to find a more equitable, community-minded path forward.

Community Art Center provides so many needed services to the Port from after school and summer programs to mental health support and other wrap-around services. They need a permanent, efficient space as much as any other organization in Cambridge.

It is a violation of community wants and needs, and all community organizations deserve equal treatment.

I think this is very important in order to keep the community diverse and not be bulldozered over by just money hungry already privileged companies etc

Do what’s not only right but what you know you should do! Pour more funding into the areas of Cambridge truly in need!
