Absolutely agree. Every neighborhood deserves a fair shot at investment—especially communities like The Port, which have given so much for so long. A $20 million deal benefiting just one nonprofit, without meaningful public input, undermines the spirit of equity and shared progress. Community benefits should reflect community voices.

Arts play a crucial role in the lives of kids and the community!!

Healthy happy safe thriving communities make great neighborhoods, and a great nation. We need equal access to art centers, community centers and parks to build mental health, self esteem and a citizenry that can contribute good things to the world.

ALL neighborhoods are impacted by increased development.

CAC has been a source of inspiration for us at Art for All in West Concord. What they do in their community is vital, and it has a powerful ripple effect beyond

I have seen firsthand how community resources are stolen at East End House. No to this deal

Creative arts are crucial for the mental health of our youth , especially in these uncertain times.

Please don't leave The Port out again! This is unfair and this organization deserves to be awarded some of that grant money!!! The Port has positively improved me and my families lives.

Equity is justice

We need to support the people who make Cambridge what it is, not the few with the money and power that seek to their own personal enrichment.

The Community Art Center has been an incredible space for my kids-a creative, safe, and fun environment where they can truly be themselves. No number of signatures could fully capture the impact it has had on our children and our community.

This center has been in my life for about 16 yrs. Community Arts Center is not just a center, I consider them FAMILY. They’ve been there for my family through a lot. Please help the center thrive for more children and support them as well!!

I support the idea of pausing this deal and focus on other efforts. I would also include Cambridge community television in the conversation of organizations that are vital to the community.

There should be a transparent and equitable process to distribute community benefits funding. Thank you!

Of course investment in the city's various neighborhoods should be equitable. There's no question about that! And The Port has had to stand in line and wait more often than could be possibly beseen as fair or just. Split the money up!

I believe that Cambridge should disperse resources in an equitable manner.
