Hey everyone,

DO YOU WANT A COMMON ROOM?

This year MedSoc has already got the ball rolling with the SU, regarding getting medical students a common room in the QMC. Obviously though this will take time.... 

I thought an e-petition would be a fantastic way of backing up our case with numbers and showing how much medics want a common room...

If we could get our 1500+medics to sign this, it would show a clear message that we want a common room in the QMC and that the university, the medical school and the SU should find one for us.

Before it was redone and a tree sprouted in the middle of it, B Floor Cafe used to be a common room for medics to spend time between lectures... and although it is a nice tree, since the renovation we now have nowhere...

Derby has a common room for medics and so do most medical schools in the country. We’re one of the best medical schools in the country, we deserve one too. The QMC is one of the biggest hospitals in Europe, surely they can find a common room somewhere...



So if you want the university, the medical school and the SU to find us a common room.... please spare less than a minute and sign this e-petition...
