This valley is supposed to be a little bit of paradise. The only people who believe this are visitors. For those of us who live here full time, the regulations are onerous. For those of us who want to make the desert a truly wonderful and unique place for EVERYONE, we run into the same political, regulatory opposition at every turn. Art is a means of beautifying the valley and should be encouraged. It should represent the building and business involved. How many of the members of the Commission have a background or expertise in Art History? Their "taste" in art in not necessarily mine.

This is one of the most ridiculous laws I have heard. Honestly, give this poor business owner a break!

Whose taste in art is considered worthy to make these decisions? Palm Desert should not be able to impose not only some Art, but its arbitrary taste for modern art?

As a former builder and developer in palm desert I feel the fees and regulations deterr builders to take on new projects

Bless California politicians. Hope the petition works. I don't like modern art and love the existing sculpture.

Please don't make it difficult with your stiff fees for investors wanting to come into our valley.

I agree with the petition. Any art work that is installed should be at opwners choice or not at all

As a former commercial property owner in Palm Desert, I could not agree more with this.
