There are many vacant stores and lots within the current boundaries of Danville. Adding this adjacent farmland to development might be good for its owners but would be bad for the city.

As stated, there's no need for new commercial property in this area. Plenty of other places are available and already zoned commercial. Such a change on Lexington Road would just increase traffic, noise, light pollution, etc.
