The Village of East Canton is trying to make the residents of 238 E. Walnut St. give up there horse that there son reciently recieved as a gift. The horse named Lakota is a rescue horse from West Virginia due to neglect and abuse. When rescued she was nothing but skin and bones. Colton Shaw helped nurse the horse back to health with the help of Marie Corn. When Marie Corn Suddenly had to move to Virginia due to the recient death of her husband she asked Colton Shaw to care for the horse at his residence 238 E. Walnut St. Colton Shaw spent all his time and money that he saved up to make a stall for the horse and build a fence so the horse had a place to graze and bought feed. The money he used he had been saving. He was working for an older gentleman helping him with his farm and house work to earn the money. The landlord has no problem with the horse being on the property. The horse is also used as a therapy horse for Hunter Shaw, Colton Shaws little brother who when he was 5 was diagnosed with autism. There are several other places who use horses as therapy horses for kids with develpomental disabilities such as Path International(Professinal Association of Theraputic Horsemenship). By Signing this Petition you will help Colton Shaw keep his pet and help Hunter Shaw keep getting the therapy he needs from his horse Lakota.

Thank you,

The Residents of 238 E. Walnut St.

Colton Shaw & Hunter Shaw
