Templenewsam is culturally and historically of great importance , there is a wealth of hedgerow wildlife and endangered birds within this area. Our national heritage will be compromised. Also leeds 15 is already dangerously overcrowded and roads and congestion would be seriously impacted.

I love the beautiful untouched greenbelt lands of Colton. They are the home to many wild animals, serve as a way of life for many residents, and are part of what makes Colton so wonderful. It's the beautiful countryside that is being destroyed for the mere purpose of lining the pockets of Mr. Moneybags. It is in no way, shape or form in the best interests of any of the residents, children, schools, or businesses for this to go forward. There already is a high traffic rate in Colton let alone adding this insane amount of houses to the top of it. I say NO to building in Colton! Do not destroy the beautiful countryside we all know and love!

Bullerthorpe Lane carries a high volume of traffic with congestion towards Colton and Swillington at peak times. Further development in this area will add to the traffic posing more risk to pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and children, This green belt land is an area of natural beauty and the site of a historic monument with a nearby stately home. Some property in the surrounding areas have already been blighted by the proposal of the HS2 sight, further development of this green belt land will add to the fall of house prices for residents who have paid a premium to purchase properties in semi-rural areas. Individual applications from residents to build on their own land in green belt areas are refused under planning restrictions. The same restrictions should apply to these proposals. Why destroy what is left of our beautiful countryside when there are brown belt sites in Leeds that would benefit from regeneration?

Council houses will bring down the quality and value of the area attracting the wrong sort of people to the area.
With a gypsy traveller site also being built, we are going to see a massive increase in crime within our lovely area!

These developments would impact greatly on our community, traffic is already a serious issue in this area. Talk of a Northern Powerhouse is a joke, it takes 30 minutes to travel less than half a mile during peak periods. Why build on green belt land and on the Temple Newsam estate when their is so much brown belt land available?? Does the labour council have an agenda due to Colton residents not voting for them during the last general election??

I live on Colton Road East and the roads are already too busy and at certain times I have problems getting off the estate, also schools oversubscribed, can't get doctors appointments etc. etc.

This irresponsible scheme will destroy local history and overload local infrastructure. Colton and Temple Newsam park create a historic location of great significance and placing these poorly thought out developments on their doorstep with blight the area for generations to come
