the area in question is a lovely area in a great part of Leeds with a good community, I feel putting a gypsy site here is a wrong decision that would cause friction in the community and result in a lot of local people becoming more wary of venturing out to walk dogs and etc

This GREENBELT land is precous part of only bit of land left, roads too congested, cannot support further traffic, Colton school over subscribed, so are outskirt schools, please do not further ruin Colton, it cannot cope, the infrastructure is already over stretched, leave the families and land as it is which has been in the families living there for generations. Use land elsewhere which is not squashed like Colton, PLEASE!!

Yet again the Council plough ahead with plans to allow Greenbelt Land to be built on without any reference to the residents of Colton.

this will bring too much traffic to this area. the school will not be able to cope. this is a smart, quiet and relaxing area with green belt land. temple newsham will suffer

the traffic is already bad around this area and school already has more than sufficient demand. House prices would decrease and and as our family home is there this is something I am completely against. My family have worked hard to purchase a house in the area they love but this house will also be their pension. More houses will affect this. Colton has had its fair share of new builds already and this along with the proposed traveller site in surrounding area would only have a detrimental effect.

The area is saturated and the infrastructure is unable to cope.
Leeds City Council have spent the last 17years trying to stop travellers getting onto the proposed site to the point of putting concrete blocks across the entrance to stop them. Travellers camped, illegally on the proposed site whilst the nearest houses were being built, at that time, and stripped these houses of the kitchen equipment being put in by the builders. How will the builders of the new proposed houses feel about that. Once you let a few travellers in many more will arrive as there is easy access to the surrounding fields.
This will effect the value of our property and many others. We are ordinary hard working tax payers.
We objected to the new DVLA building, but this went ahead anyway and now this is empty. How much forward thinking goes into these plans and how much thought is given to the hard working people that will be effected?

The proposed housing expansion and traveller site will dominate the nearest settled community of Colton.
It will be harmful to the adjacent green space and tourist attraction of Temple Newsam.
There are numerous alternative brown belt sites available for re-development.

I totally object to these developments for all the reasons stated. There are plenty of other more suitable sites which are not on green belt land. Typical Labour controlled council insensitive move.
