I am very concerned about what the new health care law will do to so many of our patients who gained access to Medicaid through Obamacare who will lose their coverage the way the bill is written. I am also incredibly angry that some in Congress want to defund Planned Parenthood through this new law which is absolutely unconscionable considering the incredible services these clinics provide to women that have nothing whatsoever to do with abortion.

As a physician working at a large urban academic hospital, I can speak firsthand to the devastating effects that repealing the ACA- and replacing it with any current version being hailed as a replacement- would incur on our most vulnerable patients. Moreover, the additional costs imposed upon hospitals, patients/their families and the system more broadly, would be prohibitive.
Now is not the time to play politics with so many people's lives at stake. Please do right by Colorado and vote 'no' on any ACA replacement legislation.
