It seems that our small neighborhood is faced with a problem that could stretch out beyond our two quiet streets. It seems that developers are trying to exploit loopholes and use connections to begin tearing down spacious homes on large wooded estate lots in order to subdivide and begin the process of overcrowding our small peaceful streets by building 4 homes where 2 once stood. Although you might not be directly effected by the actual buildings there are many other things to consider. Our small sewer system will no longer be able to handle to run off water caused by the elimination of grass, soil, and trees that date back 100s of years, the water will also wash away many of the front yards that it runs past. The noise alone that will be generated by the construction will turn our peaceful private street into not being able to hear yourself think, and the fact that it will open the door for every developer to come in and do the same thing. All of these things and many more will eventually touch your property value and effect you in one way or another if this is not stopped. We have been trying to express these concerns to the mayor, but it seems to be falling on deaf ears as of late because of the mayor's relationship with the minority partner within the construction company H.B.R which is affiliated and owned by the same person as Absolute Plumbing, Heating, and Ac/ Construction which currently has numerous projects taking place just minutes away on route 35 in Colonia. We need your support. This can happen to you. If we can stop the overdevelopment of our neighborhood we could protect the surrounding streets from having to face the same battle. Please help us be heard.
