Residents of Ruperts Landing cannot leave the property by car, bike or on foot with crossing Hwy 26. It's already a very dangerous intersection without any traffic controls in place. To increase the local density is making a dangerous situation worse. The town will be responsible for an even more dangerous situation if they allow the builder to increase density beyond what has already been approved. There is no purpose for the builder to increase density except for more profit. Let's make sure the community and safety or put ahead of developers profit.

At this point in time. To make a left turn you have to make a right turn and turn around at the first avalable turn. Not the way it shoud be.

Collingwood Town Council is making Collingwood into a city with the high density on Highway 26 and doing it without safeguards for current residents. Turning left to go into town is a nightmare and no sign of a traffic light. The much newer developments on High Street got a light and were not even built when I came to live here in 2001.

Council’s job is to preserve an acceptable quality of life for all who reside here, not to destroy it. Allowing a higher density at Reverie would be a dereliction of duty. Collingwood’s future is being determined by developers whose only interest is profit. Do they care about a doctor shortage and an overburdened ER at CGMH? Do they care that limited public waterfront is encouraging trespassing on private property to access the Bay? Do they do much to control the increased traffic flow on Hwy. 26? I think not! We at Ruperts Landing will soon be unable to access Hwy. 26 east with increased traffic coming from the west. Collingwood Council, do the right thing!!

The definition of “Reverie” is a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream. So appropriate as the developer is clearly lost in its own self-interest thoughts without consideration of the impact on the environment and our town. Council, please do not get caught up daydreaming here. Reject outright the developer’s thoughtless and damaging overreach amendments!

Under no circumstances should this density be permitted without BOTH the traffic light at 26 and Gun Club Road being in place, AND park / pool space for kids. Otherwise, we will have an influx of trespassers looking towards our beach.

The original approved plans make more sense in regards to traffic congestion, parking spaces and keeping it within the City Bylaws without the overcrowding.

As a resident of LHP I am very concerned about the proposed changes to the new development. With the ongoing development across the road and limited green space will endanger the natural habitat, eco system and negatively affect the water and sewage system.

While affordable housing is always welcomed, it isn't necessary to stack houses on top of one another like sardines in a can - and I doubt they will be "affordable."

Absolute travesty that this is being considered. They have already built far too close to the highway. Congestion and parking will be huge issues. Not to mention an eyesore.

I do not agree with this proposed amendment. The traffic, parking and lack of greenspace is an issue enough, but also puts additional strains on the residents at LHP and their beloved, well maintained grounds and amenities.
No!
