College book prices
College books cost over $300 in many cases even in used condition. However the book is bought back by the school for as low as 1/10thof that amount only to turn around a sell that same book back to another student for $275. Even worse the school stops using the book during your current semester with no warning. You just bought the new book and now you are unable to sell it back. Proposal- We need legislation that: #1 prevents these outrageous book prices that can be well over $10,000 during a students career. #2 We want the schools to warn students of a possible discontinuation of that book A At least 1 full semester in advance B Clearly mark any books that may be considered for discontinuance C Allow the older version to be used for one full semester
