I am a junior student who has taken most of my journalism classes already, and I can say without a doubt that Colleen has been the most impactful teacher I've worked with in the department. She engages even the most resistant students and has imparted so much knowledge and wisdom in her courses. Her absence from the department would be a true loss for Ball State.

I've taken an average of 20 credit hours each semester, so as a senior, I can definitively said I've had most of the journalism professors in class. Colleen by far is the best journalism professor I've had both in terms of educational content and student relations. She deserves to stay part of the Ball State University Journalism staff.
