Preserve the Diginity of the Divinity School Campus

Please consider a development that will work to continue the beauty of the area rather than place towering apartments near highland park and small residential close knit neighborhoods. The land is beautiful and deserves a more thoughtful approach.

I don’t understand why this has to be ‘developed’ at all. Please just let it remain a beautiful landmark.

This area should be preserved and not sold to a money hungry developer.

I hate what they want to do, especially all the trees they want to tear out. Their vision looks like any business park you can find anywhere. Hideous.

The current proposal is a travesty. Please come up with a plan for Colgate Divinity that enhances and improves the HighlAnd Park neighborhood

I want to be sure to mention that the intersection of Goodman and Highland is like the entry to Rochester and it’s lovely and green. The plans include clearing many trees and putting buildings where they are visible from and detract from the beauty of the intersection.

This will impact so much, so many...There needs to be a better, more thoughtful plan that will meet the needs of everyone involved.

Vote no on current development proposal.

The intersection at the entrance of the divinity school has poor sight lines ... and folks drive much too fast up the hill into a blind curve. A traffic light will need to be considered. I agree with comments elsewhere that this proposal seems to favor the concerns of Brighton residence over those of residents of the city of Rochester. As has also been observed elsewhere, there are two buildings of no architectural value on the site. They are old And probably cannot be easily brought up to modern standard. A Proposal that uses the site of these two buildings for the apartments which are proposed would be preferable to any of the proposals I’ve seen to date. I believe that all of the historical buildings and the area that requires historical preservation should remain one parcel so that it can be preserved in its present state. Dividing the Divinity school area into multiple parcels will inevitably lead to A loss of the unique character of the site. That will be a loss to everyone in the city of Rochester.

Saving this historic property is important. Too many of the new bldgs going up in Rochester's vacant land sites looks to industrial and I'm concerned this is what will happen to Colgate. Plus, a previous "used car" salesman is going to head this project while Irondequoit Medely Center is vacant by at least 90%!

Building 2 x 60,000 sqft apartment buildings, one if which will tower 20ft over its neighbor, and 90ft above street level at Summit drive, meets the definition of "desecration" in my book

There are box condos everywhere in the city. This type of structure is rare and deserves to be preserved.

I am completely against the development as proposed in every iteration I’ve seen. The developer has not addressed our important and valid environmental and setback and height concerns in any real way.

Such short sightedness on the part of the city to approval development of this land as if it were just another abandoned parcel near 490. This is an historic and important piece of land and set of buildings. Surely it is more deserving of a used car salesman building blocky apartment buildings.

Preserve the Divinity School Campus by cedeing the land and grounds to the county as part of an historical social justice corridor. Do not destroy this beautiful gateway to the City of Rochester for the wealth of the few at the expense of the many.

Please vote No to this development. This particular project doesn’t fit no matter the changes that the developer has made to date

Let's carefully look at this whole idea and not rush. The Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School is a architectural gem. If there are renovations or additions they should compliment and add to the aesthetics not detract or debase or overpower what is a landmark. I think it can be done well, by being smart and respectful. So NO to the current plan. Start over!

A more thoughtful plan is needed that will address the residents of the area. It's time for the city and developers to stop the rush to make money. Let's invest more time in a development that we can all be proud of.
